What is required for an application for a Class 1 Broadcasting and Subscription License or permit?

Class 1 licence applications are dealt with by the Telecommunications inspector in the first instance. The Minister is required to refer applications to the Commissions for a hearing. An application for a licence or permit for a broadcasting radio station or for the transfer of such a license or permit shall be made in writing to the Minister and, among other things, shall include:

Particulars of the Body Corporate

The certificate issued under regulations 32, if required

Full technical information in respect to the proposed installation

The proposed frequency of the band and the proposed time of emission

The proposed date for start up

Evidence that the necessary planning permission has been obtained and

Any other information required to support the application
