I understand that Social Insurance has recently been increased. Would you kindly indicate the new rate as well as the effective date?

Yes the rates have increased, effective 1st August, 2012. 
 
The new rate is $64.14 weekly.  Employer $32.07 and Employee $32.07

 

For months that have four (4) Mondays the amount would be $256.56

For months that have five (5) Mondays the amount would be $320.70

 

The yearly amount would be $3,335.28
